Case Study: AREA Air Conditioners Help T.S.K. FORGING Address Factory Heat
T.S.K. FORGING, a metal components manufacturer in Chonburi, Thailand, has installed Kubota AREA Air Conditioners to address factory heat. This case study examines how the company worked around cranes and a large production space to improve working conditions and support employee health and safety.
T.S.K. FORGING CO., LTD. (T.S.K.) is a metal components manufacturer established in Thailand in 1996. Based in Amata City Chonburi Industrial Estate, the company produces cold finished bars, wire for cold forging, cold forged parts, and machined parts. Its main customers are in the automotive industry: four-wheel vehicles accounted for 95% of its 2025 sales, and motorcycles for 5%.

Creating a safe, healthy, and comfortable workplace is one of the company’s core policies, with a goal of zero occupational accidents. However, Thailand’s intense heat placed a considerable burden on employees, making improvements to the working environment a priority.
Why T.S.K. Installed Kubota AREA Air Conditioners
T.S.K. had long wanted to ease the physical strain on employees working in hot conditions.
An introduction to the product by an air conditioning manufacturer prompted the company to consider installation. The solution aligned with its focus on safety and health, leading to the installation of Kubota AREA Air Conditioners in January 2026.
The aim was to provide employees with a safer, more comfortable workplace before the particularly hot months of March and April.
Why Conventional Air Conditioning Was Not Suitable
With production equipment and cranes operating inside the factory, installation space was limited for conventional air conditioning systems that required ceiling installation or partitioning. Delivering cool air deep into the large factory space was another challenge.

The company therefore selected Kubota AREA Air Conditioners, which deliver powerful airflow over long distances.
Key Factors Behind the Selection of Kubota AREA Air Conditioners
- High-performance airflow delivers cool air up to 20 m away
- Can be installed indoors or outdoors
- Flexible, space-saving installation options include wall mounting, ceiling suspension, and mounting to roof structures

Rather than cooling the entire factory uniformly, the ability to direct cool air to work areas where heat reduction was needed suited the company’s equipment layout and operating environment.
Results: Improving Working Conditions and Reducing Employee Strain
The units were positioned to direct cool air toward work areas on the production lines. This reduced heat buildup and improved airflow. According to the company, the more comfortable environment has helped employees maintain concentration, while the reduction in perceived temperature has also eased the strain of working for extended periods.

Kubota AREA Air Conditioners deliver cool air across large spaces using high-volume airflow. A key advantage is the ability to provide air conditioning tailored to specific work areas, even in factories where conventional systems are difficult to install.

T.S.K. views this installation as one part of its efforts to improve employees’ working environment. The company plans to continue developing a workplace that supports health and safety.
RYOSHO’s Support: From Site Surveys to After-Sales Service
RYOSHO Thailand provides end-to-end support, from air conditioning equipment proposals and design to installation and after-sales service.
For the T.S.K. project, installation locations were selected to suit the factory’s equipment layout and working environment. Installation was completed in approximately three weeks, with care taken to minimize the impact on factory operations. A specialist team, including Japanese staff, managed quality and safety throughout the work. After installation, refrigerant checks and operational tests were carried out to confirm compliance with the required standards.
“In many factories, the roof structure contributes to heat buildup during the day, and conventional air conditioning is often difficult to install. AREA Air Conditioners provide powerful airflow and can cool a wide area, so we feel they are very well suited to our facility. They are also easy to maintain, and I believe they are an effective option for factories facing similar challenges.” — Thodsakorn Rattanasappakuna, Factory Manager & Director, T.S.K. FORGING
T.S.K. currently has three AREA Air Conditioner sets installed. It plans to add two more sets by the end of the year and is also considering deployment at another factory. The company intends to optimize the overall system by expanding installation in stages. This phased approach is also an option for integrating new equipment with existing factory facilities.
T.S.K.’s experience illustrates how an air conditioning system can be selected to work within existing equipment constraints while prioritizing employee health and safety.
